Our Video Profile

ALSA

The ASEAN Law Students' Association was established in 1989 composed of the member countries Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand. In 2002, they came to the idea of extending its scope of membership in order to enhance the achievement of its objective. At the Asian Forum held in Japan after the Korean Conference, the Tokyo Agreement was signed, marking the merging of the ASEAN Law Students’ Association, the International Law Students’ Association of Peking University, the Law Association, Hong Kong University Students’ Union (LA, HKUSU), ALSA Japan, ALSA Korea, and ALSA Taiwan into a single association we know today. ALSA has grown and improved to be a professional, non-political, non-profit organization as the place for its members to excel in their legal skills, critical minds, communication, and connection. As an organization that includes 16 National Chapters, ALSA has been a place for culture fusion throughout Asia. ALSA Indonesia as a National Chapter and a home for its 15 Local Chapter, continues to grow and set examples on how law students should be prepared to fit in the global area.

Hello online visitors!

On behalf of the Asian Law Students' Association Local Chapter Universitas Udayana it is my pleasure to extend a warm welcome to our official website. This website serves as a gateway to explore the numerous opportunities that ALSA LC Unud offers. Whether you are a prospective member, a partner organization, or simply someone interested in legal matters, we invite you to navigate through our pages to discover the variety of ALSA LC Unuds’ activities and achievements.

ALSA, or the Asian Law Students' Association, is a student-run, non-profit, and non-political organization that aims to connect law students throughout Asia. At its core, ALSA embraces four fundamental pillars: Academic Commitment, Social Responsibility, Legal Skill, and International Perspective. These pillars highlight ALSA's objectives and resolutions, demonstrating our commitment to valuing both our members and society as a whole.

ALSA Local Chapter Universitas Udayana, also known as ALSA LC Unud, is one of the 15 Local Chapters under ALSA National Chapter Indonesia. Throughout its 11-year existence, ALSA LC Unud has consistently strived to cultivate and enhance the potential, interests, and skills of its members through impactful work programs and activities.

Our end goal is to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every member can thrive academically, professionally, and personally. Through a wide range of academic programs, social projects, and engaging activities, we aim to sharpen our members' legal knowledge and skills, preparing them to be future leaders in the legal sphere.

But ALSA is not just about academics; it is also about building lasting connections and cultural understanding. Our members encouraged to interact with fellow law students from across Asia, fostering a global perspective and building friendships that transcend borders.

This year, Our Board will remain devoted in designing an inclusive, progressive, and supportive environment that allows each member to realize their full potential. Additionally, we aim to amplify the impact of our work programs through strategic collaborations with external partners, aligning our efforts with the community.

We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the former directors, members, and partners who have contributed to the growth and success of ALSA LC Unud. Your dedication and unwavering commitment has been instrumental in shaping this Home into what it has become today.

I would also like to extend my appreciation and gratitude to the dedicated members and Local Board 2022-2023 for their unwavering devotion and hard work in our struggle to make ALSA better as a whole.
